The main purpose of your CV is to get you an interview, which will hopefully lead to a job. A CV on its own will not get you a job but it will open the door. Anascena have many years of working with corporate clients so we understand what makes a successful CV. Every CV must be tailored for the specific role that you are applying for.

For many ex-military personnel, this might be the first time that you have prepared your CV.  Anascena suggests that your CV needs to demonstrate 3 key areas:
  • YOUR PERSONAL BRAND
  • EVIDENCE OF YOUR CAREER PROGRESSION
  • EVIDENCE OF DELIVERABLES (Scale and Scope)

It is all too easy for a CV to be a list of roles and responsibilities, but you need to think about what impact your efforts had on any given task, where did you add value. Think in terms of' What was the Challenge? What Action did you take? What were the Results (CAR)?

Your CV should be laid out in the following format:

  • PROFILE
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • KEY SKILLS
  • CAREER HISTORY
