"I am delighted and honoured to be an ambassador for Anascena and to be working with them in an advisory capacity. From first meeting, I was struck by their passion and intense commitment to help those leaving the military, be they serving members or spouses. Anascena has a keen grasp of the challenges faced in transition to civilian life and therefore the holistic approach that is required in order to provide not just a job but a sustainable second career: early engagement with both employer and employee to identify what support is required, as well as matching skills and experience, set them apart from any other executive search and recruitment agency. Having been wounded in Service and recently left the military, I understand first-hand some of the additional challenges of conducting that transition with a disability; but I am also incredibly lucky to be in a position whereby I can help ease that transition for others. Therefore I am thrilled to offer my support and determined to do all I can to help this fantastic business make a real difference where it is needed."
"I would like to thank ANASCENA for the professionalism and support received from them throughout the entire process of placing me into my new role. They are motivated, enthusiastic and committed, ensuring I had, at all stages of the process, all the information required to succeed. I have no hesitation in recommending ANASCENA to anyone looking for a new challenge outside the Armed Forces."
"Anascena supported me after I left the Royal Marines in April 2015. I'm writing this at the end of August 2015, having been placed in a role that is as close to perfect as I could have hoped for. I found Anascena to be both thorough and thought provoking in preparing me, and my CV, for a change of career. They challenged me into thinking about my strengths, ambitions and the lifestyle that I wanted for me and my family. Working with only the broadest of briefs, "Something in finance, maybe...", Anascena was able to find me a position which has the ideal salary, location, career progression and working conditions for my situation. I honestly couldn't recommend Anascena highly enough and I'll always be extremly grateful for the work they did with me."
"I am in the process of leaving the military through medical discharge and have been looking to find new employment opportunities. I found the meeting with ANASCENA extremely helpful and constructive, in particular, the way in which they helped me recognise my transferable skills for civilian employment and also advised me on restructuring my CV so that it appeals to the appropriate job market.
I have applied for various jobs and have been unsuccessful to date. After discussions with ANASCENA, it helped me identified my skill set and has given me the confidence to restructure my CV and focus my attention on the right area of the job market that I had not considered looking at previously. I would highly recommend ANASCENA to other military personnel who are leaving the services."
As I’m sure you’re aware, I replied to an advert on 18th February for a role advertised in part by Anascena. Within a few short hours, you’d called, explained to me the particulars of the initiative your company is providing. I was left with a feeling of optimism. As an ex-member of HM Armed Forces, I whole heartedly support your endeavours in supporting this country’s ex-military personal.
Leaving the Army and acclimatizing back into civilian life is undoubtedly a shock to the system, in my case I had been looking after a sick relative for a period of time and consequently my ambition, drive and general outlook on life slipped.
After numerous applications for various positions in my local area and what seemed like a disproportionate amount of rejection letters or worse yet, no communication at all from various businesses, I genuinely began to lose hope. In my case I’ve had a relatively successful education resulting in 5 A-C GCSEs, what I presumably lacked was experience.
After discussing with you in late February about the various roles offered through Anascena and the planned recruitment event for the Tuesday 20th February, I had for the first time in a long time, had a renewed sense of purpose and a yearning for success.
The day I sat the interview, I felt confident I’d made the right impression.
I merely asked for an opportunity to prove myself, so today, I sit here jotting down a few thoughts from within the office within my new role as Trainee Document Controller.
My colleagues that I’ve met so far have been helpful, humorous and extremely welcoming. I feel the role suits absolutely perfectly and for a large part of that I have yourself and your team to thank for it. You believed in me, Natta’s representatives believed in me and now I believe in my own abilities once again as a productive member of society.
I mustn’t forget to relay my appreciation to the members of your team that I have not had the pleasure to meet, their roles within Anascena in my view, shouldn’t be underestimated.
So a big thank you to them also!
Once again Nikki, thank you so much for everything you’ve done up to this point. You’ve done so much for me, if there’s anything I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I wish you and all the team at Anascena the very best for the future and commend you for continuing help to our ex forces personnel.
All the very best!
